Macarthur Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre and Park Central Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre are under the umbrella of Macarthur Physiotherapy Associates. We have an excellent team of highly skilled Physiotherapists who are committed to providing efficient and effective musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy services to the Campbelltown area.
Our aim is to :
We are the only physiotherapy practice in the Campbelltown region that has two physiotherapists with postgraduate qualifications in Musculoskeletal/Manipulative and Sports Physiotherapy. Gaven Williams and Wei-Ju Chang are Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) accredited Musculoskeletal physiotherapists. Gaven is also an APA titled sports physiotherapist with more than 25 years of clinical experience, including being the team physiotherapist of the West Tigers and the Magpies for more than a decade. As a WorkCover accredited Independent Physiotherapy Consultant, Gaven is renowned for his ability to diagnose and treat difficult musculoskeletal injuries. Chris Walsh, who has extensive experience in orthopaedics physiotherapy, leads our team of therapists who provide high quality post-surgical and aftercare to patients in Campbelltown Private Hospital immediately after orthopaedic surgery under the care of Sydney Bone & Joint Clinic (Dr O'Carrigan, Dr Nabavi, Associate Professor Ireland, Dr Viswanthan & Dr Dao).
Our practice has been established for over 20 years and during that time we have been working closely with local doctors and specialists to deliver the best care to the public. If you are recovering from surgery, we communicate regularly with your surgeon to provide comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation.
Our physiotherapists regularly take part in seminars and courses to improve their clinical skills and acquire the latest knowledge in physiotherapy and sports medicine. With sound clinical expertise and the latest research evidence, our physiotherapists can provide more effective and efficient treatment to our clients.
Our practice recently purchased a Real Time Ultrasound (RTUS) machine which assists patients with low back/pelvic/hip dysfunctions to achieve correct and optimal core muscle action. With this advanced technology, you can now see how your core muscles work in real time.
In addition to traditional physiotherapy treatments, we have embraced alternative and newly developed therapies. Our practice provides Acupuncture and Dry Needling services to treat various pain conditions and movement dysfunctions. Please contact our practice for more information.
Using Kinesio Tape we can help you recover faster when you have muscle injuries and even perform better in your favorite sports. This specially designed taping has been popular among elite athletes in North American, European and East Asian countries. Please ask our therapists to learn more about Kinesio Tape.
